Jacob A. "Jake" Vdovjak, III


          Jake was born and raised in Wheeling, WV. Roseanna and Jake have been married for 39 years and have three children; Christy, Jacob IV, and Robert, and one grandaughter, Jaka. Jake is employed by the Teamster Local 697 in Wheeling, WV. as the Secretary-Treasurer and Business Agent.
             Jake started bowling in 1964 at Colonial Lanes in Wheeling, WV. Jake's bowling achievements include the following; top ten in WV State Tournament-three times in Team event, top ten in WV State Tournaments in Doubles event, Wheeling USBC Team Champion, three times; Wheeling USBC BA Doubles Champion, twice: Wheeling USBC BA SIngles Champion, placed second in All events in Bellaire,OH USBC BA Tournament, and has participated in 26 WV State USBC Tournaments. Jake has a high series of 787, high game of 290, and a high average of 207.
      Jake has been an officer in the Wheeling USBC BA for the past 29 years with the last 15 years as president. Jake has been the WV State USBC BA Representative from Wheeling. He has held the position of Tournament Director or Assistant Tournament Director for both the Wheeling USBC BA and the WV State USBC BA.
           Jake has been a member of Warword Redbirds Youth Baseball Board and/or coach for ten years. He has been a member of the United Steelworkers of America Local 3096 for ten years, serving as President for six years and Vice-President for four years. He is also a member of the Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Warword, WV. Jake enjoys coaching baseball, umpiring, hunting, fishing, playing softball, and WVU football games.
